Classes in Leduc at SPOOLS: the Workshop

Good Morning:

I am having classes at SPOOLS:  The Workshop in Leduc that may be of interest to the membership.
March 13:  Learn to Quilt Feathers:  Learn the fundamentals of stitching out feathers for your quilting designs.  This is a theory and drawing class with some demonstration on a long arm.  Taught by Joanne Flamand
March 17 and June 9:  Gypsy Wife Class - if you have wanted to make this quilt by Jen Kingwell, join this class taught by Debby Bykowski who will guide you through block construction on this quilt.  Additional handouts made by Debby assist in easier construction of this quilt.
April 10:  Custom Quilting Isn't Scary!  Come and find out the system to use on every quilt!  Discover how the quilt top can actually "talk" to you when considering options for quilting.  Bring quilt tops along to talk about and get ideas for quilting
April 13 OR 21:  Colour Theory Day 1:  Learn the basics of colour theory in this class using the book:  Color Play: Second Edition by Joen Wolfram, and the 3 in 1 Colour Tool, along with handouts and colour swatches.  Topics:  colour terminology, use of the 24 part Ives colour wheel, 3 main characteristics of colour, colour families and harmonies.  You will participate in exercises using fabric swatches, the 3 in 1 Colour Tool, and reference to the book Color Play 2.  This class is taught by Wanda Cracknell, and is one NOT to be missed!
April 27:  Colour Theory Day 2:  Build on the basic colour theory from Day 1 to learn about  colour temperature, dominance, strength and proportion, illusions, contrast and print vocabulary.  More exercises will be completed using fabric swatches!
Please call (780) 913-3982 for more information, details on all classes are on Spools: The Workshop FB page under Events.
Thank you!
