With the cancellation of Quilt Canada, the plans for selling over 1000 postcards have had a bit of a re-design.
Led by Cindy Scraba, the Challenge Coordinator and Sponsor, the postcard team mounted an on-line FaceBook auction in late August. At the time of this writing, it is still underway, so no totals can be reported! Auction bids have been generous (one up to $90!), with successful bidders very happy to win some very intricate yet tiny pieces of art.
For those who may have missed the auction, don’t despair!
I still have over 1000 postcards in a spare bedroom that will be available for purchase over the next several months. If/when we are able to gather again, postcards will be available.
And next June, when we have Edmonton’s Festival of Quilts, we will have our big sale.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to those of you who took the time to contribute postcards. The money raised is earmarked for the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Brain Injury Unit, a cause near and dear to my heart.
