After a few hiccups like COVID-19 and the cancellation of Quilts Canada Edmonton, my book will finally be available for purchase. The Friends of the Royal Alberta Museum Society (FRAMS), who supports the Royal Alberta Museum in a variety of ways but most importantly through telling Alberta’s stories, is excited to announce my forthcoming book, Alberta Quiltmakers and their Quilts. At 175 pages, and fully illustrated in colour throughout, the reader discovers Alberta’s history one quilt at a time from the stories of the quiltmakers and their quilts held in public and private collections.
I am proud to have had the opportunity to contribute to the history of quiltmakers and their quilts in Canada and in particular Alberta Quiltmakers, past and present. At last, Alberta quiltmakers have their place in history and hopefully on your book shelf.
For those interested in obtaining a copy of this new work or to give it as a gift, please sign up now by visiting the FRAMS website book launch page https://frams.ca/book-launch/
Please share this information with family and friends and of course your fellow quilters that might otherwise not get this information.
