Community Service Update – May 2023

Author: Judi C, Chair, Community Service Committee

An extra sew day in April gave us time to catch up and with good weather we had lots of drop ins to pick up fabric and kits. The Jelly Roll race was a great success. We had so much fun and made 4 lovely quilt tops. It may become an annual event! There is still plenty of fabric left if you need some to complete your charity projects.

The following has been gifted this month:

  • St Vincent de Paul Society – 11 (for use in Edmonton or the North of 60 Project)
  • Sleep in Heavenly Peace – 11
  • Basically Babies – 10
  • Jessie’s House – 3 (one for their silent auction in August)
  • Quilts of Valour – 2

I am lucky to be the person to drop off these quilts because I get lots of “thank you” and “bless you” which I am now passing on to you. Thank you and bless you!

Next Community Service Sew Day: Tuesday, May 9th, 2023, 9:30 – 4:00 pm; 10554 – 110st NW Use the backdoor.
