Library Update – September 2023
Welcome to new and returning EDQG members!
The EDQG Library is one of the benefits of membership in the guild. Members can borrow books from the guild library of over 500 books on quilt related topics. The books are stored in our guild storage locker, and a selection of books are brought to each meeting. Books are returned at the next meeting but can be renewed by contacting the Library Chairperson.
Members who cannot attend the meetings can still borrow books by contacting the Library Chairperson. Books can be picked up and dropped off at the FFAA studio on Guild Sew Days, or at Trapunto Quilt store if you are unable to attend the evening meetings.
Members can request books from the listing of Library books on the guild website.
This summer, an Inventory of our books was completed. Thank you to Marie P. for helping me! We arranged the books in alphabetical order, completed the inventory, and discarded some older, or duplicate, or not relevant books. Stay tuned for our book sale!
New Books have been purchased: (from Johnson’s Sewing Center, South Side)
- Beyond the Tee: Innovative T-Shirt Quilts, by Mary & Jen Cannizzaro, 2020.
- Scrap-Basket Knockouts, by Kim Brackett, 2022.

Don’t forget our Library Raffle held at the monthly meetings. The money raised goes to purchasing new books for the library. We offer two quilt related books as prizes each month. Tickets are $1.00 per ticket, or 6 for $5.00. The prizes for September are:
All Things Quilting with Alex Anderson – everything you need to know about quilt techniques!
Quilter’s Project Planner: Everything Your Need to Dream, Plan & Organize 12 Projects – a beautiful notebook/journal to record your projects and your progress on them!
See you at the meeting, or online!
