Community Service Update – November 2023

Author: Judi C, Chair, Community Service Committee

Our scrap bin and orphan block bin are getting full, so we are focusing on producing quilts with the contents of these bins. We have some ideas but always welcome more if you have a plan for scraps that works well for you.

See the attached photo of what we can do with scrap batting. This “frankinbatting” is lovely paired with a great quilt top.

We have 28 baby and crib quilts so far for The Terra Centre and look forward to dropping off the quilts at the end of November. With all that is going on in the world it is so nice to have something to do that can bring comfort.

We will continue to meet on the second Tuesday of the month at the Focus on Fibre Arts Association (FFAA) Studio at 10554 – 110 Street NW.
