Her book and work are the basis for lectures and workshops about quilts with meaning. Suzanne’s experience has taken twists and turns, all eventually leading to modern memory quilting. After graduating with a BAA in Fashion Design from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), she launched her millinery line and retail store, Six Degrees, on Queen W. in Toronto. In 2001 Suzanne ran away with the circus to work with Cirque du Soleil for 12 years as creative lead in consumer product development. It was at Cirque that the spark of bringing emotional depth to creative work was ignited, and where she learned that “Impossible is only a word”.
Currently, Suzanne lives in Montreal with her family, and works with the team at Soak Wash Inc. when she’s not quilting and teaching or gardening and cooking. Learn more about her work at www.ateliersixdesign.com.
