Community Service Update – October 2024

The Winter holiday season is not that far away! One way to celebrate is by helping others, and if you are interested, you can join the Community Service Committee by donating new socks, underwear, mitts, toques, etc. for the Hope Mission. The people this organisation serves are in extreme need and every little bit counts. Baskets for your donations will be at the Membership Desk as you come into the October and November meetings. We are also collecting baby/crib quilts for the Terra Centre’s December hampers. Deadline is the November guild meeting. (terracentre.ca)

The EDQG labels for charity quilts have been updated to reflect the 2024-2025 membership year. You can download the labels and print on an inkjet printer. Printed labels can also be obtained from the Community Service Committee if you do not have the appropriate printer.

We will continue to meet on the second Tuesday of the month at the Focus on Fibre Arts Association (FFAA) Studio at 10554 – 110 Street NW.
