No sewing machines required.
Location: U of A HECOL sewing lab HECOL map; 89 Avenue & 116 Street, Human Ecology Building, Clothing & Textiles Lab (main floor)
Parking: Student’s Union Car Park (fee at kiosk, payable with credit card only)
NO FOOD OR DRINK allowed in the sewing lab (lidded water bottle only)
Bring your lunch (access to lunch room on 3rd floor; elevator available)
When you register, you will be asked to make your portrait choice: Sinead O’Connor, Princess Diana, or Celine Dion. This information is needed no later than January 15, so that Paula can prepare the proper kits before she leaves for Canada.

Paula Rafferty (Ireland) is an esteemed textile artist, teacher, and Quilt Judge for the Quilters Guild of the British Isles. With a remarkable blend of exemplary quilt artistry and innate teaching talent, Paula brings a unique perspective to her workshops. As the Art Therapy Program Director for the Limerick Prison for Men, she has guided inmates in creating profound and inspiring works of art, showcasing her exceptional skills in both quilting and therapeutic instruction. Paula’s workshop promises to enrich your quilting techniques with her innovative approach to creating Fabric Portraits.
