Our Upcoming Year

The EDQG has a dedicated Program Committee that is committed to bringing our members interesting speakers and some fun things to do. Many thanks to Susan J., Cheryl M., Elinor B., Selene A., Cynthia KB and Karen S. for their contributions.
Circumstances have led us to having our first few presenters by Zoom. While we love having speakers on-site, Zoom offers us an opportunity to have speakers who don’t live in the area. And of course, Zoom is super-convenient for those who can’t make it to a meeting in person.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that we can resume our in-person meetings soon!
Looking ahead at Speakers:
In October, we will be welcoming Edith Choinière, a really interesting Canadian designer who will talk about her quilting journey. You’re going to love her stories and her designs.
In November, our very own Kim Caskey will host a video about a moving challenge project from Europe. This might inspire you to complete a project of this kind yourself!
And in January, we will be joined by Theresa Benson, an expert in the area of artificial intelligence as it relates to quilting. How do we balance tradition with technology? Perhaps we’ll find out!

Quilt Block Exchange
The Program Committee has planned an exchange for this year, the details of which will be announced at the September meeting.
Show and tell presentation
There are two options for Show & Tell

Send photos of your creations by the Sunday prior to the meeting to be included in the monthly presentation. (email above)

Live presentation at the monthly meeting.
Since many of the community quilts are donated before the meeting they will be presented through the Zoom powerpoint.
