Prairie Rose Quilt Challenge

Each year, the EDQG Past Chair has the privilege of setting a challenge for the guild’s members.

Called the Prairie Rose Challenge, the theme is announced at the October meeting.  Some years there is a size restriction or an orientation (portrait or landscape) stipulation, other years there might be items that must be included (for example, a specific fabric, a particular image).  Every year is different, which is what makes it a challenge!

Challenge quilts are turned in at our May meeting, and are then judged based on their design and craftsmanship.  Ribbon winners are announced at our year-end celebration in June.

This year, the theme is “Au Naturel” and the size needs to be 18 x 24 inches, either portrait or landscape orientation.
