Scrub Cap Fundraiser
A Request to our Guild
A group of medical students at the University of Alberta are organizing a scrub cap fundraiser to support Orbis International, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing avoidable blindness and training healthcare professionals worldwide.
They contacted EDGQ to see if anyone would be interested in volunteering their sewing expertise to help produce scrub caps for this initiative. Students were hoping to choose their own fabrics and then have the scrub caps sewn and delivered back to them. They do not have enough machines or skilled sewers to make the number of caps they hope to distribute, so our support would make a big difference.
They would appreciate any contribution and would love to coordinate next steps and timelines with anyone interested. They would also acknowledge EDQG in their fundraiser communications.
