Library Update – June 2026
Author: Sandra P.,
Library Chair
Library activities for members have ended for this season. Book borrowing will resume at the September meeting.
Borrowed library books were returned at the May meeting. If you still have a book out, please return it at the banquet. We will have a book drop bag at the welcome desk.
At the May meeting we held our last book raffle of the season and raised $180.00. In May we also held our annual book sale and raised $185.00. Thank you for your support of the library. Next year we hope to hold a couple of books sales in the year instead of one huge one in May.
In the summer the library committee will organize the books in the very full book bins at the storage locker and do our annual inventory.
We plan to weed out older and unused books to make room for the books added to the collection this year.
“Sewing is a way to mark our existence on cloth: patterning our place in the world, voicing our identity, sharing something of ourselves with others, and leaving the indelible evidence of our presence in stitches held fast by our touch.”
