The Round Bobbin Project

The Round Bobbin Challenge Project, curated by Susan Vogel, is an international collaborative textile art exhibition that invited quilters and fibre artists to create 35 four-inch quilt blocks inspired by the traditional themes of wedding anniversary gifts, to hang from a wooden bobbin. From Paper and Cotton to Silver, Gold, and beyond, the resulting collection showcased more than 400 remarkable varieties of interpretations, techniques, and artistic styles. Displayed together, the collection demonstrates how a single, humble object can inspire hundreds of unique artistic interpretations.
