The first Event was a Summer Picnic!

August 20 at Meadowlark Community League

Close to 60 members attended the picnic (aka hall party) and a lot of conversation and laughs were had by all.

Stitching Embellishments

Sandra H. will be demonstrating how to add interesting stitching embellishments to quilts before our meeting.  Her demonstration will be broadcasted to our members joining us by zoom.

Alabama Chanin

Join Susan J and Judy E for our pre meeting demonstration to learn about Alabama Chanin, which uses slow stitching techniques such as straight stitching, applique, reverse applique, embroidery and beading on two layers of cotton jersey fabric. This can be used to decorate unlimited clothing items.

49 people participated in our pincushion/ needle book exchange!  Everyone was surprised by what was hidden inside the paper bags and lots of excitement was in the air as the bags were ripped open. Thanks to all who participated. 

There was no demonstration at the February meeting.  Instead, those who attend in person had the opportunity to play “Spin the Bobbin”!  There were multiple goody bags full of interesting prizes; where the spinner landed designated which goody bag your prize came from!  Thank you, 45th committee for the prizes!
